Ideas Before Practice: In the dynamic world of social media and digital communication,
knowing the technique of editing is undoubtedly important. But even before that, it’s crucial
to understand the why behind every choice: why opt for a certain shot, when to make a
cut, and what message you want to convey! Thanks to the analysis of these fundamental
principles, we will immerse ourselves in practical examples and exercises that will be
corrected together during the lessons.
Who it’s for: This course is ideal for both those who want to take their first steps into the
world of editing and for those who already have some minimal experience and want to
consolidate their mastery of the rules that underlie effective editing.
Course Program:
∙ The key principles of good editing: revealing information, emotions, rhythm, and orientation.
∙ The fundamentals of editing software.
∙ Importing clips and selecting the best material for the project.
∙ Cutting and refining techniques (J-cut and L-cut, trimming).
∙ An often overlooked but fundamental element: sound design and the creation of an
atmospheric and cinematic sound.
∙ The basics for enhancing your images: color correction and color grading.
∙ You no longer need to do everything alone: the use of AI in editing.
Course details:
∙ Duration: 12 hours, with weekly online lessons of two hours each.
∙ Small groups (maximum 4/5 people) or individual lessons to ensure direct contact
with the teacher and personalized feedback on the students’ work.
